Beliefs and limits

Daily, I receive a newsletter that usually brightens my day and remind me who I truly Am. This one that I received today was so outstanding that I could not help but copy it here!
Thanks to the TUT website.

Here’s the thing, Arnaud. Admission into time and space requires a belief in limits: a belief that both time and space are real; that you can therefore have and have-not; that love can be lost or found; and that you are what your physical senses show you and no more.
These illusions immediately lead you to believe that you are incomplete. Yet, far from indicating you are flawed, they reveal your brilliance by filling you with desire, igniting your emotions, fueling your passions, and catapulting you out into the world where journeys are begun, connections are made, and dreams come true… only to be replaced by new dreams as your divine sense of incompleteness persists.

This is by design, Arnaud. Feeling incomplete does not make you so. It’s how legends are born, giants are made, and history is written. It’s why you’re here. To ever so briefly escape your true identity as you live with an unquenchable thirst that will lead into adventures of grandeur, discovery, and a realization that love is all there is.

Your trusty accomplice,
The Universe

What is The Axiotonal Integration?

The process of Axiotonal Integration is the integration (horizontal axis) and harmonization of the masculine and feminine pillars of our Being as well as the integration (vertical axis) of our experience on the material plane with our spiritual awareness.
With the help of therapists from both polarities, over the course of three sessions you can expect to feel a few of the following effects:

  • peace, serenity,
  • self confidence,
  • distance from the events of life and emotions,
  • greater capacity to meet life’s challenges,
  • greater connection with your physical body,
  • harmonization of male and female polarities,
  • change of viewpoint/paradigm,
  • ability to use the increased power for oneself and/or others,
  • increased intuition and fluidity,
  • increased awareness of oneself and your Being.

The Axial Unification

The first of three sessions, this one hour session is applied from the male polarity of the healer.

This session helps you to begin the process of reactivating specific points and axis in your body along the energy meridians (alongside our physical body there are several other energy bodies which are interrelated and are involved in creating our reality). Following a very precise map, the therapist draws lines and connecting points along the body of the patient:

“Lying along the body’s acupuncture meridians, the axiotonal lines are periodically connected to these meridian lines by “spin points.” Spin points, small spherical vortexes of electromagnetic energy, emit Light and Sound frequencies that cause the atoms of a molecule to spin at a faster rate. This increased molecular spin creats Light fibers, and these fibers establish a grid for cellular regeneration.

While we participated in the game of separation, essentially all of the personal information we received was provided by the mental body. This information was limited and erroneous, but nonetheless has been used by us to create our illusion of a very separated reality. Now that the axiotonal lines have been reconnected, we can receive energy/information from Source, via our Overself. Archangel Ariel indicates that the axiotonal lines and the spin points are part of our etheric blueprint. So, also, is the new axial circulatory system. This system connects the spin points that lie along the acupuncture meridians to spin points in every cell in our physical body.”

This reconnection helps us to generate a higher level of communication between our different bodies and obtain a global acceleration in our frequency, bringing a greater integration which increases on a daily basis.

The Tonal Unification

This one hour session is carried out by a female practitioner between one and three days after the initial session.

It includes the harmonization, unblocking and release of the energetic systems related to  the energetic axis of our system. The first field to be balanced is the primitive or basal field which includes the energy axis, fields and points which are directly connected to Earth energy. The second field includes the energy axis, fields and points connected to higher vibratory levels.

Once restructured, these two different fields induce a higher level of potency between both and thus allow a stronger connection. This creates the integration of the Being to the physical body and thus eases the access to a new conscious awareness coming from the new energy pattern.

The Axiotonal Consolidation

This session must be received within two days of the last session. This phase reinforces and closes the changes brought about by the first two sessions and re-harmonizes the structures and fields which might have experienced some variation. These variations may have to do with the resistances of the individual to change. They are then re-wired in order to obtain a new equilibrium and we connect the new energy patterns to a superior energy super structure which facilitates the permanent consolidation of these changes.

Once these new structures and energy points are anchored to the structure, we then proceed to empower the whole energetic system. Both healers completely review the new energetic configuration, nurturing and strengthening the four axiotonal pillars: earth, air, feminine and masculine.

Reality is an Illusion

What the heck do we know?

Did you know that Earth is plane? That it is the centre of the known Universe? That you need to withdraw blood out of your body to heal your disease?

You will tell me that those are beliefs since some centuries; they are already forgotten as such in our scientific and enlightened occidental world? But if those beliefs were wrong… Couldn’t it be that current beliefs are on the same level? Would it be possible that we would be making the very same error believing that we know The Truth? An error so BIG that it would jeopardize the whole perception of our world in our day-to-day life?

Mounted on top of 4 gigantic elephants which get bored a lot but that’s another story…

This erroneous perception exists and is very much common in our occidental world. The very fact of its existence provokes many suffering lives when the truth is so simple and easy.

Since 30 years, our scientific experts in Quantum Physics and String Theory unveiled it again (and several oriental philosophies before them). Since then, a very very small number of people have been aware of that simple truth.

30 years living in a new era without knowing it, where we have the alternative to select a new direction in our lives.

What is that belief which alters our perception up to a very basic level?

The world that we experience in our daily lives is tangible up to the point that when I am not here to observe it, it still exists!

Therefore, I cannot influence/modify it.

We know with absolute certainty (even if we do not believe in Taoism, Buddhism, or Kryon’s channeling for instance) that it is on the contrary:

The world that we experience in our day to day lives exists only when there is an observer. If not present, it summarizes in a chaos of infinite possibilities.

That means that a conscience is needed in order to determine the external configuration to this conscience which we call “reality”.

Let’s explore some implications to these truths.

It means that when I am not in my kitchen, for instance, it exists only as a potential, as a probability. It is my memory of it, as an observer, of its components disposal, when I enter in it which will recreate this vision/experience.

On the same topic, when I meet with my fiancée in a restaurant, we co-create together the experience, with its decoration, its food and all the emotions attached to this specific experience.

In both cases it is the probability, always modified by our conscience, of a possible event occurrence or an object disposition in a familiar scene, that will create our experience.

Since our birth we use these principles totally unconsciously! But since 3 decades (or 3 000 years?) we really know how it really works and we can think of another way to Be.

A new way to Be

Let’s take a moment to get the mask out of our face, the one we use to have every day that we can call ego, ignorance, …

Now, let’s think a minute that every thing, absolutely everything within our experience is determined/defined by ourselves, the observers. Where each observer has the infinite capacity to define which experience he will have and will always, always find the totally compatible person(s), the other(s) observer(s), to share it with.

Imagine the power you have!

Not only this but also each observer has the ability and liberty to change his perception point at any moment and learn/experience/love new circumstances more beneficial or not on his life’s path. It is only his memory of what existed, his actual energetic vibration, his resistance to change, that will forbid a radical change instead of a gradual one.

In this world of infinite possibilities, can I experiment absolutely everything I want?

Yes!

Why does it cost me so much to believe it?

Reasons are numerous, but to talk of the most important ones, our society through history has been focused on the material world and to fight against this thinking pattern is very difficult.

More importantly is the low opinion of ourselves as a conscience and observer. This mind frame triggers down every thought that would indicate that we could determine freely our life.

The only way to begin perceiving the world from a new point of view is to recondition our mind thanks to books, movies, discussions, etc. Thanks to the repetition of the same arguments we can wake up, change our paradigm and reach a new conscious level or better said realize what we really are:

An Observer who defines his daily experience only by defining what he wants to Be.

An Observer who defines his reality as an illusion and who understands that everything he perceives is a mirror of what he is inside.

Let’s open to our self

By entering in this new point of view, we have the ultimate capacity to CHOOSE our own experience.

If you feel stuck in a given situation, just by revising the beliefs system which sustains it and by selecting new ones will allow you to change that same situation and not only your experience.

For example, a man can have regularly up and down relationships with women by having a personal belief system that states that it is, for him, the only way to relate to women (because of his past relations with his mother, or…). By revising those beliefs, his beingness will change and women he meets and relates to will change also.

On the same topic, our society has the belief that you need to Do something in order to obtain it. When what you need it to Be! By reviewing this belief… You will figure it out!

Just by allowing you the possibility to experience a new talent you will be able to discover all the nuances of your Being; not only in terms of new sentiments/emotions to live but also rediscover our own new possibilities.

Clearly, one does not perceive easily from his own point of view that it would be so easy and simple. Even if it is, own can obtain a more precise perception of one self to reach a new level of clarity and free oneself from old concepts.

Thanks to such persistent effort, you will be able to value the result: not only your Being with more potential but also the Path itself.

And you will again experiment world’s magic.

The only thing you have to do now is: Wake Up! Live! Go with the flow! Without any resistance.

The fox and the Lion

This chapter 11 from “The Secret” from OSHO seemed to me very relevant to a lot of situations. Thus I wanted to share it with you. You can find the whole book online here.

This article is quite large but it is worth the reading.

The Lion And The Fox

21 October 1978 am in Buddha Hall

By OSHO

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A FOX WHO MET A YOUNG RABBIT IN THE WOODS. THE RABBIT SAID, “WHAT ARE YOU?” THE FOX SAID, “I AM A FOX, AND I COULD EAT YOU UP IF I WANTED TO.”

“HOW CAN YOU PROVE THAT YOU ARE A FOX?” ASKED THE RABBIT. THE FOX DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, BECAUSE IN THE PAST RABBITS HAD ALWAYS RUN FROM HIM WITHOUT SUCH INQUIRIES.

THEN THE RABBIT SAID, “IF YOU CAN SHOW ME WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE A FOX, I’LL BELIEVE YOU.”

SO THE FOX TROTTED OFF TO THE LION, WHO GAVE HIM A CERTIFICATE THAT HE WAS A FOX.

WHEN HE GOT BACK TO WHERE THE RABBIT WAS WAITING, THE FOX STARTED TO READ OUT THE DOCUMENT. IT SO PLEASED HIM THAT HE DWELT OVER THE PARAGRAPHS WITH LINGERING DELIGHT. MEANWHILE, GETTING THE GIST OF THE MESSAGE FROM THE FIRST FEW LINES, THE RABBIT RAN DOWN A BURROW AND WAS NEVER SEEN AGAIN.

THE FOX WENT BACK TO THE LION’S DEN, WHERE HE SAW A DEER TALKING TO THE LION.

THE DEER WAS SAYING, “I WANT TO SEE WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE A LION….”

THE LION SAID, “WHEN I AM NOT HUNGRY, I DON’T NEED TO BOTHER. WHEN I AM HUNGRY, YOU DON’T NEED ANYTHING IN WRITING.”

THE FOX SAID TO THE LION, ” WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME TO DO THAT, WHEN I ASKED FOR A CERTIFICATE FOR THE RABBIT?”

“MY DEAR FRIEND,” SAID THE LION, “YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT IT WAS REQUESTED BY A RABBIT. I THOUGHT THAT IT MUST BE FOR A STUPID HUMAN BEING, FROM WHOM SOME OF THESE IDIOTIC ANIMALS HAVE LEARNED THIS PASTIME.”

MAN IS CONTINUOUSLY PREOCCUPIED WITH INVENTING A SELF FOR HIMSELF, but the invented self can never be the real self. There is no possibility that the invented will ever be the real. The real self has to be discovered, not invented.

The invented self becomes our ego. The real self is not in any way the ego. The real self is not a self at all; it is utter emptiness, and the silence of emptiness, and the joy of emptiness.

If you want to invent a self you will have to ask others; that’s the only way to invent it — to gather opinions of what people think about you. That’s what we go on doing our whole lives. That’s why we are so afraid of people’s disrespect. That becomes our bondage. We want to be respectable, because if we are respectable then people’s opinion about us is beautiful. They praise us and we can have a better self. If we are not respectable people condemn; and then you will not ever have a beautiful self, you will have an ugly self. Your self consists only of the opinion s of others; it is a patchwork. A has said something, and B has said something else, and C something else, and so on, so forth. You collect all these things, these paper cuttings. Then you make an image out of them — you fix them together, you glue them together.

From the very beginning the child starts collecting this rubbish. The mother says something, the father, the brother, the neighbors: if it is gratifying he starts feeling proud, if it is not gratifying he starts feeling depressed. To avoid depression he goes on flattering everybody that he meets. The flattery is nothing but an arrangement: “I will flatter you so that you can give me a good certificate. I will flatter you more if you are willing to give me an even better certificate.” But all these certificates are just from the outside, and nobody knows you, who you are — not even you yourself.

So what others say about you is almost irrelevant to your reality. They only know your appearance, and appearances can be very false. The person who looks very gentle on the outside may be very egoistic inside. That gentleness may be just a camouflage, a protection, an armor. The man who looks very clever on the outside may be just the opposite — he may be utterly stupid. The stupid person has to pretend cleverness; it hurts to know, “I am stupid.” The man who goes on bragging about his knowledge is bound to be ignorant. But who wants to be known as an ignorant person? — he collects some information and goes on broadcasting that information to people. Slowly, slowly he gathers a reputation that he knows, but this knowledge is false, this reputation is false. These certificates are given to you by people who don’t know you, who can’t know you. There is no way for anybody else to know you except yourself. And whatsoever they are saying, they are saying only so that you can give them a good certificate. So it is a mutual conspiracy; we are deceiving each other. Somebody says, “You are beautiful,” and of course you have to return the compliment. Somebody says, “You are so intelligent,” and you have to return the compliment: “You must be a very intelligent person, otherwise you would not have known about my intelligence. You must be a man of great understanding — you are the first man who has understood me.”

This constant preoccupation with inventing one’s own self has to be understood. Why is it there at all? It is there because you are feeling a constant gnawing emptiness within your heart. You don’t know who you are, and it is very difficult to live without knowing who you are. Unless you know who you are whatsoever you do is going to be a failure, a frustration.

You can succeed in being fulfilled only if you know who you are. Then you will choose your life in such a way that it becomes a fulfillment to your real needs. Otherwise, not knowing yourself, whatsoever you do remains accidental. Maybe once in a while your arrow may reach the target, but that is accidental and it will happen only once in a while. You are shooting in darkness, without knowing who you are, without knowing where the target is. It is almost impossible that sometimes it may hit the target; ninety-nine percent is the possibility that you will remain empty and you will die empty. Your life will be a tragedy. That’s why people carry such a tragic sense on their faces, in their eyes.

Watch people, watch yourself, and you will see — people are living a very tragic existence. Their whole past has gone in vain and they know that today is also slipping out of their hands; and deep down the suspicion that whatsoever they have been doing in the past they are going to do in the future too. So it is all a meaningless journey, “a tale told by an idiot, full of fury and noise, signifying nothing”.

And unless significance is felt, how can you be joyous? Unless your life throbs with significance how can it become a song? Only a significant life becomes a song. When you start feeling there is meaning, when you start feeling that you are fulfilling something very essential to existence — that you are needed, that you are part of this cosmic drama, this cosmic play, that without you something will be missing, that without you the drama will not be the same at all — then great respect arises towards oneself; and in that very respect gratitude towards existence, prayer, thankfulness.

But the most fundamental thing is to know oneself: Who am I. And to know oneself means to discover — because you are already there, you are not to be invented. Whatsoever you invent will be a fiction, will not be truth. And how can you delude yourself? Maybe for one day you can delude yourself, for two days, but for how long? Delusions wear out. They cannot remain against reality forever. Reality goes on asserting.

And there are only two kinds of people in the world: the majority consists of those who invent the self, and a very small minority of those who discover the self. And the difference is vast, the difference is tremendous: they are two worlds apart. A Buddha, a Jesus, a Bahaudin, a Rumi, a Mansur — they discover.

What do I mean by discovery? The first thing to remember is that you already have the self. You are. That needs no proof. That is indubitably there, you cannot even doubt it.

The great European philosopher, Descartes, says, “The only indubitable fact about life is that I am.” Only this cannot be doubted; everything else can be doubted. You can doubt the world; it may not be, it may be just a dream, as Hindus say — that it is maya, an illusion, a dream in God’s mind. Maybe, possibly; it cannot be denied, there is no way to deny it. That’s exactly what Berkeley says — that the world is not a real world, it is a fantasy, a thought, not a thing. Nobody has ever been able to refute Shankara or Berkeley. It cannot be refuted. How to refute it?

Berkeley was walking with Doctor Johnson. Doctor Johnson was a realist. He was very offended by the Berkelinian idea that the world is only a thought, not a thing; that it is just a fiction, a mind projection — there are no trees outside, there are no people outside; only I am. Johnson, being a realist, was getting very angry, more so because he could not find how to refute this man logically, how to prove that the tree outside there was really there….

How to prove it? — because in the dream also we see trees, and they look almost the same as these trees. And in the dream also we think that they are there; only in the morning when we wake up do we find that they were not there. Who knows? — when death comes and we wake up finally, we may come to know that all those trees, and the people, and the world, and the earth, and the moon, and the sun, were all just a long, long dream. How to prove it?

… He took a rock from the road and hit Berkeley’s feet with the rock. Blood started oozing and Berkeley was in great pain and very angry too. He said, “What kind of behavior is this? What wrong have I done to you? Why have you hit me with the rock? I don’t see the point.”

Johnson laughed and he said, “This is to refute your so-called idealism. Now if the rock is unreal, why are you crying? Why are there tears in your eyes? How can I hit with an unreal rock?”

Berkeley started laughing. He said, “But my pain is unreal too, and my tears are unreal too. Only I am real. Who knows that the tears are flowing, that the blood is oozing, that the feet are hurting like hell? Only I who knows, the witness, is real. Everything else, Doctor Johnson — you and your rock and the world — is all unreal. “

Now how to prove it? Johnson was not capable of proving it. His realistic argument had failed, utterly failed. No, it cannot be proved, it is always doubtful.

For example, you are listening to me: maybe you are just dreaming. Maybe many have fallen asleep; maybe with closed eyes you are asleep, and you are having a dream. The other cannot be proved.

The only indubitable phenomenon is my own existence. That cannot be doubted. Why cannot you doubt it? — because even to doubt it, it will be needed. If I say I am not, even to say this — that I am not — I have to be there. So to doubt oneself is the only impossible thing.

And we don’t know who we are. The only indubitable fact has not been discovered; and we have been struggling to discover many dubitable things. And the irony: we go asking others, whose existence is dubitable, about who we are. Whatsoever they are going to say will remain only their opinion. They cannot penetrate your being; nobody can penetrate anybody else’s being.

In your innermost core you are ultimately celibate, alone. Nobody has ever walked into that solitude, into that shrine of your being, and nobody will ever walk there. Even lovers cannot penetrate into each other’s core. The core remains beyond. Only you, and only you, can know it.

But people go on asking, “Who am I?” And watch yourself — directly, indirectly, that’s what you are trying to do. How much you hanker for a compliment! How much you long that somebody will say that you are beautiful, that you are very intelligent, that “You have made my life worth living”, that “It is because of you that I have tasted something of meaning”. Just watch your mind! — this is a constant preoccupation. And how worried you become when somebody says something that goes against your image, how much you feel hurt, how much you start defending, fighting, arguing. Why is there so much fear? Why is there so much longing to have good opinions from others? — because that is the only way to create a false self.

The false self is cheap. It is very easy: it needs only a little sociability, it needs only a little cleverness, cunningness; it needs only to be formal, mannerly, it needs etiquette. It needs a little alertness about what people want — “Be that. If you cannot, at least pretend to be that.” If they respect a knowledgeable person, then gather knowledge. Go to the university, have a few degrees so that you can write a few letters behind your name. If they respect character, then cultivate character.

It may be doing great harm to you; that is not the point. It may be going against your grain, it may be creating a division in your being, it may be creating a duality, a schizophrenia, but that is not the point. Respect has to be gained, because only through respect can you have a beautiful decorated self; and everybody will be supporting it.

A sannyasin has to be very much aware of this trap. You are not to invent your self. You have to discover it. And discovery means an inward journey. Discovery means not asking the other but asking oneself “Who am I?” asking in one’s aloneness “Who am I?” letting this question penetrate deeper and deeper, like an arrow, so that it penetrates your very core — and there, one day, is the revelation.

And the moment you know who you are your whole life is transformed. Your whole life becomes divine because you are gods. Your faces are different, your talents are different, your colors are different, your minds, your conditionings are different, but these are only layers around you; they don’t constitute your core. The core is your original face, uncontaminated by the society.

And when you come to know your original face — the face that you had before you were born and the face that you will again have when you have died, the face that has been given to you by God — that face is the greatest experience. Knowing it, one knows all. Not knowing it, you can become very knowledgeable, but you are just hiding your ignorance.

The people who are very much concerned with inventing a self live a very mediocre life. They have to live a mediocre life, because they have to satisfy the mediocre crowd around themselves.

In India, if you want to be respected as a mahatma you will have to starve, you will have to fast. Unless you fast nobody is going to respect you as a mahatma. If you want this identity then you will have to fast. You will have to adjust to the demands of a mediocre society.

And everywhere the society consists of mediocre minds — the middle class, the bourgeoisie; those who have known nothing except chasing after money and power, those who have never seen anything in depth, those who are not aware at all of the vertical dimension of life, those who go on running as fast as they can on the horizontal plane. And then one day they fall in their graves without knowing at all what they have missed, without knowing the glory and splendor of life and existence.

Society consists of the mediocre people, and to adjust yourself to the mediocre people is to become a mediocrity on your own. Beware of it. Watch your steps. The trap is all around and the trap is very alluring because it gives you the cheap satisfaction of being a certain self. And all kinds of selves are available; you can go window-shopping. If you want to become a mahatma then the mask is sold in the marketplace; you just have to know a few requirements of how to be a mahatma: what to eat, what not to eat; when to sleep, when not to sleep; how to move, with whom to move; what scriptures to read, what books to avoid. Just small things, trivia… any stupid person can manage it. In fact only stupids can manage it. If you have intelligence, you would like to live your own life on your own terms. You will not compromise. You will live like a Jesus. Even if it means crucifixion, it’s okay. Jesus died on the cross, but died with a self, died with a discovered self. That’s why he was not angry with the people who were killing him, because now he knew nobody could kill. People can kill only the self that they have given to you. They are powerful about it: they can withdraw their support and you will start collapsing.

People can only kill politicians, not the mystics. People can kill the politician because the politician exists only on people’s votes, their opinions. They can withdraw their opinion and you are nobody. The throne of the politician is carried by the mediocre crowd; any moment it can change its mind, any moment somebody else can satisfy it more, can be more compromising with the mediocre people. It can change immediately.

You cannot destroy a religious man; that is impossible. You can kill him, but even in your killing him he remains deathless.

That’s the whole meaning of the resurrection. People crucified Jesus, but they could not — that is the meaning of the parable. I am not saying that it is an historical fact, that he walked again on the earth. People killed him, but people can kill only the self that they have given, they cannot kill the self that has been discovered. It is beyond their reach, it is beyond their vision. How can they kill it? They cannot even see it. The people who were crucifying Jesus were absolutely unaware of the person whom they were confronting. Who was this man that they were killing? They were killing God! They were killing one of the most significant expressions of God on the earth, but they were blissfully unaware.

That’s why Jesus said, “Father, forgive these people, because they don’t know what they are doing. They don’t know me, and what they are killing is their own idea of me. They cannot kill me.”

That’s why people like Jesus, Socrates, Buddha, are not at all worried about what you think about them. They know themselves; your thinking makes no difference. Your thinking will make a difference to you, but it makes no difference to them. They go on living on their own; they live an authentic life.

My sannyasins have to remember it: don’t hanker for a self from the outside. It is a wastage of time, and the people can withdraw it at any moment. And their minds are not very stable, they constantly change. Their minds are not very integrated, they cannot retain any state. They don’t know of any continuity in their being; they are fragments. One day they will support and praise you, another day they will pull you down and condemn you.

This is what has been happening down the ages, the whole history is full of it. One day they call you great, another they start condemning you. In fact, whomsoever they call great they are bound to condemn. There is a rationale behind it: whomsoever the mediocre person calls great, he starts feeling inferior in comparison to the person he has made great. Nobody likes to feel inferior. Then sooner or later he takes revenge so that he can pull you down and can show you that you are “made of mud as I am made of mud”. First they put you on great pedestals, only to pull you down. They enjoy the game very much.

Beware of it! Don’t depend on what others say. It is utterly irrelevant. All that matters in the ultimate sense is what you know about yourself.

I am reminded of an incident. I had just passed my Master’s degree in the university and I was in search of a service, of a job. I approached the education minister, I talked to him. He said, “It will be possible, there is a vacancy, but you will have to produce two character certificates.” I said, “From whom?” He said, “You can ask your vice-chancellor to give you a character certificate. You can ask the chancellor, the proctor, or there are so many famous professors in your university; you can ask anybody.”

I said, “But that won’t do — because if the vice-chancellor of my university wants a character certificate from me, I will not give it to him. How can I ask a character certificate from a man to whom I cannot give a character certificate? He is one of the most corrupted politicians of the country. He has become the vice-chancellor not because he has any abilities to be a vice-chancellor, but just because he is a politician. I will not ask any character certificate from him. I cannot ask my professor either because I know him intimately. In fact he is afraid of me. I know all the ins and outs of his life. He is a very cowardly man, ready to bow down to any person who has authority and power. I have seen him flattering stupid politicians because he is also hoping to become the vice-chancellor of the university some day and the only way is to go on flattering the politicians, the powerful people. No, I will not ask for a character certificate from him.

“All that I can do is: I am here. You look into my eyes, you hold my hand. I will look into your eyes and you look into my eyes; I will know your character, you will know my character — and it is finished. “

He became a little worried. He said, “What do you mean?”

I said, “This is my hand! You give your hand to me and look into my eyes! ” and he started looking here and there. It is very difficult for cunning people to look into anybody’s eyes directly. They are so full of guilt. I could see perspiration coming over his head. I said, “Why are you getting so much in a panic? Just look into my eyes and see! I am here, feel me. If you want me I can be here as many days as you want, sitting in this room. I will see your character, you will see my character. “

He signed the papers. He said, “You go! You are appointed! And never come again! You are the only person who has frightened me.”

Never depend on others’ opinions. Who are they? How can they give a character certificate?

This whole parable is beautiful. It is a hit on human stupidity. Remember, if you are asking for a self to be invented with the help of others, you will remain mediocre. You will never be the flowering of intelligence.

Intelligence comes only when you discover yourself. Intelligence is the shadow of that discovery; the great exhilaration that happens when you have stumbled upon yourself face to face, when you have encountered yourself, when you know who you are. Suddenly you are rooted in existence, suddenly you are beyond time. Even death cannot kill you and fire cannot burn you. You are eternal.

In that eternity all fear disappears. And when there is no fear there is freedom. In that beautiful experience of oneself all hankering for possessions disappears, because you possess the very kingdom of God. Now nothing is of worth. In that experience all doubts dissolve. You have come to an absolute rock, and only on this rock can the temple of religion be built. This rock is eternal. Otherwise whatsoever you are doing is just making sandcastles on the seashore; just a strong gust of wind and all those castles will disappear.

All that you are doing is writing your name on the sand. Time is just sand and nothing else. Time cannot give you any taste of the eternal, and without that taste one remains frightened of death. The invented self is always afraid, continuously afraid. It lives in fear, it lives in paranoia, it lives in neurosis. The discovered self knows nothing of the abnormal, perverted, neurotic mind. It becomes simple, it becomes ordinary, but that ordinariness is luminous.

Kierkegaard calls this attitude of constantly remaining preoccupied with inventing a self “philistinism”. This means a mediocre existence, living in the security of the womb, a superficial satisfaction with everything as it is. It means to live life on the surface and to never explore its deeper, psychic dimensions. It is the refusal to be born, the refusal to grow. It means being close-minded to passion, risk and broader perspectives. It is a state of shut-upness.

People are living as if they are closed from everywhere. Their existence is a kind of shut-upness. Their existence is windowless: the sun never penetrates into their beings, nor the wind, nor the rain. They simply live closed into themselves. They are afraid of coming into the open, because if they come into the open people may change their ideas about them. When they want to cry they laugh, because what will people think? Crying is sissy! They will condemn. They keep a very strong face, the face of steel, and behind this is a child who wants to cry, who wants to play around, who wants to run in the garden after the butterflies, who wants to collect wildflowers. But that they never allow: they remain stiff. They go on repressing the child, and that child is far more valuable than what you are pretending to be because the child is real, authentic. And the people who live in this kind of shut-upness cannot grow, because growth means being in constant communion with existence, being nude with existence, hiding nothing, keeping no secret, remaining available and vulnerable, remaining open to all kinds of risks and dangers. Only then does growth happen.

You see people all over the world growing old, but without growing up. Even in their old age they remain childish deep down, because they never allowed their own real self to grow. They have been piling upon the false self, decorating, bringing more ornaments for the false self, creating new props so it doesn’t collapse; but this false self cannot grow. Remember one thing: no false thing can ever grow, it remains stuck. Can you think of a plastic flower growing? The real rose grows, the plastic rose remains as it is. It is dead, how can it grow?

The self that is given to you by others is a dead entity; it cannot grow, it cannot flow. It is a frozen thing! And with that frozen thing you will be imprisoned.

When I look at people, watch their faces and their beings, I am constantly in deep pain seeing them. Great compassion arises. They could have been beautiful beings but they have remained retarded. They could have been glowing beings but there is no glow, there is no fire. And all that they think they are doing, and all that they think that they are living, is just so futile. It is futile because it does not bring growth. The most important thing in life is growth. Religion is the science of growth. And the beginning of the growth is changing the gestalt from the false self to the real self. The real is already given, it is a God-given gift; the false has to be gathered from people, people who don’t know themselves. How can they give you any sense of reality? Beware of it!

The beginning of the inner journey has to start with the question “Who am I?” And it has to become more and more a quest than a question. The question means a superficial curiosity, the quest means a passionate love-affair.

It will be good to understand this word “question” and the symbol of the question-mark. The symbol of the question-mark is very significant. You may be surprised to know that it comes from the first incident in human history: the meeting of the serpent with Eve near the Tree of Knowledge. The serpent created the first question in Eve’s mind: to eat the fruit or not? The question-mark is the snake standing on its tail. It represents the snake on its tail.

History begins with a question-mark, the whole of human history; the serpent started it. He has remained in the symbol, the question-mark, standing on his tail. He must have stood on his tail and must have talked to Eve, must have seduced her into eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge.

In another sense, properly understood, it is also the sign of how knowledge has come into being. All knowledge starts with questions. To ask is the beginning of any inquiry. But if the question remains only a question, then you will remain Adam and you will never become a Christ. Hence the other symbol has also to be understood: that symbol is the serpent eating its own tail.

That symbol has been used by many ancient esoteric schools. It was used by Rosicrucians, and many gnostics have used the symbol of a snake eating its own tail. Then the snake becomes a circle. When the snake starts eating its own tail, it is a quest. Why is it a quest? When a question remains just a question its interest is in an answer, verbal, intellectual, but no verbal, intellectual answer can satisfy it. New questions will arise out of the answer.

This has been the path of philosophy. Philosophy is synonymous with the question-mark, the serpent standing on its tail.

Then what is the history of religion? Just the opposite — the question eating itself — the snake eating its own tail. In the religious quest, questions disappear, thirst remains. There comes a moment when nothing is in your mind, not even the question. The question has eaten itself up.

That’s what happens in a Zen koan: an absurd question. And why absurd?for this particular reason: if it is not absurd then the mind will supply an answer. And if the mind supplies an answer, out of that answer ten more questions will arise. And then it will be a regress ad infinitum; there will be no end to it. Hence an absurd question is given to the meditator so that mind cannot supply any answer. If no answer is supplied how long can you go on asking the question, how long? — one year, two years, three years, four, five, six… one gets tired. A moment comes when one is so exhausted with the question and the futility of it all, and one knows there is no answer to it. One day, out of sheer exhaustion, the question slips out of your consciousness. You are left alone, a pure mirror reflecting nothing.

The question has eaten itself; that is koan. The snake has started eating its own tail: now the circle is complete, the perfect circle. The perfect circle has been the symbol of wisdom. The question is the beginning of knowledge, the perfect circle is the symbol of wisdom.

Adam is a question-mark, Jesus is a full circle — so is Buddha, so am I, so can you be. You come to me as a question-mark, but please don’t go from here as a question-mark. And don’t go from here becoming a little more knowledgeable, gathering a few answers — because those answers will soon become questions. Go from here as a perfect circle — the snake eating its own tail, and then there will be no more questions.

And the state of the mind which does not question is the state of mind which is the answer. Not that any answer comes to you; it itself is the answer — the silence, the stillness, the utterly contentless consciousness, is the answer. It is samadhi. And only in samadhi do you know who you are.

This small parable….

ONCE UPON A TIME THERE WAS A FOX WHO MET A YOUNG RABBIT IN THE WOODS. THE RABBIT SAID, “WHAT ARE YOU?”

The rabbit must have been a philosopher.

THE FOX SAID, “I AM A FOX, AND I COULD EAT YOU IF I WANTED TO.”

“HOW CAN YOU PROVE THAT YOU ARE A FOX?”

That’s what the philosophic mind always asks: “How can you prove that you are a fox?”

People come to me and they ask, “How can you prove that you are Bhagwan?” There is no need to prove it. I am. And I am very much surprised, because you also are the same, but completely unaware. Maybe my declaring that I am God disturbs your sleep. You become angry; you start thinking, “If this man is God, then why am I not?” You start feeling inferior.

In fact, that is not the purpose of my declaration. My declaration includes you! When I am saying I am God, I am saying every human being is God — and not only every human being, every being is God. To be is to be God; there is no other way. God is trees in the trees and birds in the birds and mountains in the mountains, man in man, woman in woman. God has all these manifestations. All these beautiful waves arise in His ocean.

When I declare that I am the ocean, other waves become disturbed. They think that I am claiming some superiority, that I am saying that you are only waves and I am an ocean. I am not saying that. By declaring that I am the ocean I have declared that you are also the ocean.

But if you don’t want to recognize it, it is your freedom not to see the truth. You can keep your eyes closed, you can remain blindfolded; that is your decision. If you have chosen not to be a God you can go on pretending not to be a God — but I tell you it is only a pretension. God is your reality, and whatsoever else you are pretending is only just a belief. And even when you pretend that you are this and that and not God, then too you remain God deep down. There is no way of being anything else.

Even the wave that says, “I don’t believe in the ocean, and CERTAINLY I am not the ocean; I can see my limitations: one day I arise, another day I am gone. How can I be the eternal ocean? I am not!” still, even while she is declaring it, she is the ocean. She is part of the ocean, the ocean is underneath, but she has not looked into her own depths.

Every day newspapers carry one criticism about me: that I am a self-appointed God. That means a committee is needed to appoint. Maybe a government has to issue certificates saying who is God and who is not God, or maybe a university has to issue certificates. The people who criticize me as a self-appointed God have taken it for granted that God should be appointed by others. Who are these others, and what right have they, and who has appointed them? Now it will be a regress, ad nauseam.

Buddha declared himself, Krishna declared himself, Jesus declared himself; they were all self-appointed Gods. But there is no other way. When I have come to know, when I have come to see who I am, what can I do? I have simply to state the fact. It is a bare, naked truth — and it is not only my truth.

If I were declaring that I am God and you are not, then it would be just an ego-trip. But my declaration includes you, includes the whole existence. It has nothing to do with me as such; in fact I am no more there, and only God is. I have dropped the self that you are carrying; the self that is created by others, I have dropped. And in dropping that, the real self is discovered.

THE RABBIT ASKED, “HOW CAN YOU PROVE THAT YOU ARE A FOX?” THE FOX DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY, BECAUSE IN THE PAST RABBITS HAD ALWAYS RUN FROM HIM WITHOUT SUCH INQUIRIES.

THEN THE RABBIT SAID, “LF YOU CAN SHOW ME WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE A FOX, I WILL BELIEVE YOU.”

That is part of the human mind: anything written and people believe it. The written or the printed word has a hypnotic power over people. I say something: if it goes against your scripture you come immediately to me to say that it is not written in the Bible — as if just by writing something it becomes true. If it is not written in the Bible, so what? So it is not written in the Bible! Improve upon the Bible — write it. At least you can write it in your own copy.

But people believe the written word very much; it is almost hypnotic. That’s why you can go on believing even stupid newspapers, because a printed thing, a written thing? — then it must be true. All kinds of falsities and lies go on being circulated.

Just the other day I was reading one German newspaper. It says I have two wives, one Indian, one Western. Looks very relevant… because that’s why I say “the meeting of the East and the West”! And the more amazing thing is that the picture that he has chosen to show of my two wives — one of them is Shiva! Shiva has long hairs; he is standing with his back towards the camera, so he is my Indian wife! It is really nice of these people….

The other newspaper I was reading has written that I fly in a helicopter. I liked it. I never leave my room… and I fly in helicopters? True, I fly, but I fly without helicopters! And even a greater discovery is there — that I eat only eggs, meat, lobsters, and nothing else!

Now millions of people in Germany will believe it: a written thing is a written thing after all.

Another newspaper has a report that the reporter came to the ashram early in the morning, at five-thirty. He knocked on the door. A naked, utterly beautiful woman opened the door, hugged him, welcomed him, “Come in,” plucked a fruit from this tree — looked like an apple — gave the fruit to the reporter, and told the reporter, “Eat it. It rejuvenates sexual energy.”

And you will be surprised — letters have started arriving. One man writes from Austria: “I am Sixty and I have a young wife. Please, Osho, be kind to me. I can come to India. I have heard that in India things like that happen. Can you give me that fruit?”

It is believed, and all kinds of rubbish, all kinds of falsities and lies go on being written. And many believe.

Satynanda wrote from Germany — now he has come — he wrote from Germany that “So many lies are being printed in German newspapers. In Germany it is almost a Rajneesh wave.” He wrote a letter to make us aware that many kinds of sexual maniacs and perverts will reach, “So be alert, because many are preparing. “ If such fruits are there, and such a commune exists where all is permitted, where all people live in nudity — all you people are sitting nude, remember! — where clothes are not allowed… These reports are being published, and many will believe. That’s how people believe.

But I am happy. Let-them come, for ANY reason. Then we will see! I have even written to this old man, “You come! Fruit or no fruit, but you come I ” Who knows? Doing Dynamic, Kundalini, he may go beyond sex. That is a possibility.

THE RABBIT SAID, “IF YOU CAN SHOW ME WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE A FOX, I WILL BELIEVE YOU.”

People believe only when something is written. Why do you believe in the Vedas? Why do you believe in the Bible? Why do you believe in the Geeta? It is a written document, ancient, of great prestige. What else is there?just a great tradition supporting it.

If there had been no written record of Jesus, you would have forgotten all about Jesus. There have been many teachers and Masters of the capacity of Jesus, of the same calibre, but you don’t even know their names.

In India, when Buddha existed and Mahavira was alive, there were many more teachers, at least six of the same calibre, of the same status, but you will not even know their names.

One of them was Prakuta Katyiaena, a rare gem. But he insisted that his words should not be written so that no tradition arise after him. Certainly his words were not written; no tradition has arisen, but people have completely forgotten even his name.

There was another great teacher, Buddha’s contemporary, Purnakashyapa, but because no scriptures exist — they were written, but destroyed by the organized religion in India — nobody, knows anything about him.

People believe in the written word. People believe too much in their eyes. One should believe only in one’s own experience. Nothing else should become a substitute, otherwise you start going false.

SO THE FOX TROTTED OFF TO THE LION, WHO GAVE HIM A CERTIFICATE THAT HE WAS A FOX.

WHEN HE GOT BACK TO WHERE THE RABBIT WAS WAITING, THE FOX STARTED TO READ OUT THE DOCUMENT. IT SO PLEASED HIM THAT HE DWELT OVER THE PARAGRAPHS WITH LINGERING DELIGHT….

You have also done it many times. If somebody writes a beautiful letter to you, you read it again and again and again. Why “with great lingering delight”? Somebody has praised you; it gives you a good sense of self. People are ready to die to be praised. People are ready to do anything.

I have heard about a politician. There was a great ceremony, his birthday was celebrated. Hundreds of rose garlands were presented to him, but his secretary was a little puzzled because he was not looking very happy.

When the ceremony was finished the secretary asked, “You look a little sad. “

He said, “Yes. Only a hundred garlands? And I had paid for two hundred. “

You have to pay for your own garlands.

People go on paying in subtle ways so that they can be praised. And there exists a mutual arrangement in the world “You scratch my back, I will scratch yours,” and both enjoy.

THE DEER WAS SAYING, “I WANT TO SEE WRITTEN PROOF THAT YOU ARE A LION…. “

THE LION SAID, “WHEN I AM NOT HUNGRY, I DON’T NEED TO BOTHER. WHEN I AM HUNGRY, YOU DON’T NEED ANYTHING IN WRITING. “

You will know….

This is the right approach, the lion’s approach: “Who cares whether you believe in me or not?”

If somebody comes to me: “What is the proof that you are God?” who bothers? I am not here to collect stupid followers. My approach is the lion’s approach. He said, “When I am not hungry, I don’t need to bother. When I am hungry, you don’t need anything in writing.”

And that’s my approach too. If just a curious person comes to me, I need not bother. I tell him, “Get lost.” If a disciple reaches to me there is no need for any proof. In his very disciplehood he has got the proof.

THE FOX SAID TO THE LION, ” WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME TO DO THAT WHEN I ASKED FOR A CERTIFICATE FOR THE RABBIT?”

“MY DEAR FRIEND, “SAID THE LION,’ YOU SHOULD HAVE SAID THAT IT WAS REQUESTED BY A RABBIT. I THOUGHT IT MUST BE FOR A STUPID HUMAN BEING,FROM WHOM SOME OF THESE IDIOTIC ANIMALS HAVE LEARNED THIS PASTIME. “

Except man, who is worried about inventing a self? Except man, nobody is neurotic on the earth. Except man, nobody has gone astray so far away from himself that he needs certificates to prove his validity, that he needs certificates to prove his existence, that he needs certificates to prove his character, intelligence.

Either you have intelligence or you don’t have. No certificate is needed; your life will be its own proof. Your joy will be enough of a certificate, your bliss will show, will prove it. Nothing else is needed.

The moment you come to me I welcome you, I invite you to come closer and closer to me so that sooner or later you start drinking of the nectar that has happened to me, that is flowing in me. That will be the proof; nothing else is needed.

Mahavira had no proof, Bahaudin had no proof, Jesus had no proof, Buddha had no proof. They were proofs themselves. Those who have eyes will be able to see and those who have ears will be able to hear and those who have hearts will be able to feel. But the human mind has fallen into great stupidity. Humanity is living by words. Words have become too important. The word “fire” has become more important than fire itself. The word “God” has become more important than God itself. And remember, the word “God” is not God and the word “love” is not love.

Don’t be deceived by words, beware of words. You can be lost in the jungle of words and you will be going farther and farther away from truth.

Truth is a wordless experience. Truth happens only when there is no thought in you, when all words have disappeared and all the dust is gone from the mirror, when the mirror is simply mirroring — and mirroring nothing. No reflection is made, no wave arises in the lake of your consciousness. Then all is reflected, then you know what is — not only that you know who you are, you know what this whole existence is. Knowing oneself, one knows the whole.

The Exquisite Dance of Male and Female Energies

This article explore in a clear way the inner characteristics of masculine and feminine energy within ourselves.

Gods

Gods

We lead such busy lives. We work hard all week. We collapse on our days off. There’s no time for play. This is the life for men and women today. We seem to be nearly interchangeable at times.

Is there a difference any more between men and women? This article will explore that question and suggest a few answers that may raise your eyebrows, as well as inspire you to think differently about your daily life as a woman, or as a man.

We’re so busy doing all the time that simply being has gotten lost somewhere. We’ve been told that doing is masculine (yang) and that being is feminine (yin). But in the “real” world of work, everyone is highly rewarded for doing, and criticized for just being. Who gets more kudo’s, the CEO or the homeless person? Being called a “slacker” is not a compliment. How many homemakers or house husbands freely admit what their vocation is? (Only the brave or evolved ones, I think.)

Now, imagine that you’re a working mom, with kids and a husband and you’ve just gotten home from a long, stress-filled day of work. At work, you are doing, doing, doing, so you are in Masculine mode, despite the fact that you are a female. When you get home, you are likely to remain in Masculine mode, because you look around and see so much work yet to be done.

Hold on to your hats, we’re about to go into new territory.

You’re a warm, giving person, and you’re a woman. Your husband sometimes seems so selfish and ungiving that it makes you angry. Sometimes you want to just tell him what to do, and you tell him, and he gets mad and no one gets what they need. Sound familiar?

Here’s a key concept to take into your system and digest for a while: Giving is Masculine. So when you are giving to others, you are in Masculine mode. Those you give to are in Feminine mode. As a mother, you are in your Masculine mode when you are giving to your children. You may wonder, “Why can’t the people around me be as warm and giving to me as I am to them?”

Here is the rest of the equation: Receiving is Feminine.

Are you comfortable when you receive help from others? When you receive a gift or a compliment? For many years, I was not. I only felt comfortable when I was giving or helping someone. I am a woman, yet because of early childhood sexual abuse, feeling feminine did not feel safe to me; in fact, I felt like a little boy for most of my first 40 years. To me, feeling feminine meant feeling weak and vulnerable (like a victim) and I wanted to stay as far away from those feelings as possible. I wanted to feel safe.

Today, I live in both the masculine and feminine modes, as consciously as I can. I love the dance of male and female, masculine and feminine energies, not only within my self, but between myself and others. Through a lot of work, I have come to absolutely love feeling feminine. And I still love being in Masculine mode. Today, I switch from Masculine mode to Feminine mode as the situation dictates, for the good of all concerned.

Going back to when you, as a working mom and wife just get home from work: you have a choice to stay in your Masculine, telling everyone what to do, how, and when to do it, or you could go into Feminine mode and allow the gifts of others to flow to you. I know, this sounds impossible, but it’s really the most natural thing in the world.

How about your husband or mate? The shift he needs to make as he gets home from his job is different. At his work, he’s likely to be operating in an aggressive masculine mode, so he needs to shift to nurturing/helping Masculine mode when he comes in the door.

Here’s the next idea that may challenge you: Nurturing is Masculine, because it is the act of giving. A woman can provide nurturance to another, and when she does, she is in Masculine mode. When I share this idea with people, it often comes as a big surprise to them and challenges their thinking, so I go on to say that I am describing energetic principles when I say that nurturing is masculine, not cultural norms. Now, I’m not saying that a woman should not be nurturing, but I’m advocating that she be very aware that she is in masculine mode when she’s doing the nurturing thing. Why?

The Key to the Dance of Male and Female Energies

When a woman goes into Feminine/receptive mode, the men in her life (her husband/mate and her sons over the age of 10) can then do what comes naturally to them – give their gifts to her! Their gifts have a receptive place to come to rest. Many of the men in our lives have become very accustomed to being the receivers of our nearly-continual giving, while we grow to resent so much giving to others (and go on to feel guilty about our resentment!).

Another reality is that when we always give to men, they feel like little boys and not like men. They feel emasculated when we give so much to them, when we cannot or will not receive from them. The sad result is that much healthy masculine energy is suppressed and distorted, and is eventually expressed as violent or destructive acts toward self and others.

What gifts do our men want to give to us? They want to help us with things they do well! Is it easy for us to accept help? I can only speak for myself when I say that accepting help from my mate can be difficult at times. I am still learning this exquisite dance, and I am dedicated to helping other women and men learn and get better at the dance of male and female energies.

A colleague of mine (a working wife with two sons) shared the following experience with me. She was puttering in her rose garden, and could see all the back yard chores that had been neglected by her sons, who seemed oblivious to the yard’s deteriorated state. Reaching the end of her tolerance for the tall weeds, she decided that instead of scolding the boys, she would make them a clear list of tasks and deliver it to them in a way that let them know how important a neat yard is to her.

When she got home from work the next day, her sons had completed all the tasks on the list! The yard looked great, and she made sure to let her sons know how much she appreciated their hard work. They beamed with pride as they recounted the details of their work, to her delight.

Here’s another secret: The Feminine is the initiator of all energy movement. Until a person goes into Feminine/receptive space, the Masculine/active person has no place to give their gifts. (Important note: the feminine energy principle can be found in a man as well as in a woman, and the same is true for the masculine energy principle.)

There are several easy ways for a woman to go into feminine mode. One way is to energetically imagine your system is a vessel that is open to receive. If you want to receive something specific, then get a picture of that thing in your mind, and your vessel becomes “magnetized”.

I love to practice feeling feminine by going out to eat by myself, because it gives me a safe place to practice becoming a vessel and to see and feel the reactions of those around me, the women and the men. It’s delightful to notice how people look in my direction, without knowing why. I am silent as I do this. Silence is feminine. Talking is masculine. I also tend to lean back just a little, and my head likes to kind of tilt to the side too. Leaning back is feminine. Leaning forward is masculine.

In terms of interacting with a man to receive his help, I’ve found the best way is to say what you want or what would make you feel good, rather than asking him to do something for you. For instance, if you are in his vicinity and say, “I would love it if the spiderwebs on the outside of the house were gone. It makes me feel so wonderful when the house looks clean.” he is likely to know that he can do that task and he will know how it will make you feel. When it’s done and you tell him how good you feel, he is likely to be on top of the world. Why?

Because testosterone, the hormone that males have more of, is a “do good to feel good” hormone. This means that when he’s done a good job and pleased someone, he then feels good! The testosterone in his system has been put to good use, he is happy, she is happy and the world is a more joyous place.

If the woman approaches him with, “Why haven’t you swept the cobwebs off the house yet? This place looks terrible. You’d better do it now, or I’ll do it myself” he’s likely to feel like a bad little boy, and his testosterone has no positive outlet. If he sweeps the cobwebs, he does it from a bad little boy perspective, and his testosterone is not in gear – it’s in storage.

What about females? Estrogen, the hormone that females have more of, is a “feel good to do good” hormone. When a female, or estrogen-driven person wants to accomplish something, she will be able to do so much more successfully if she chooses activities and surroundings that feel good to her, that nourish her physical senses in as many ways as possible. Our activities may be active and masculine in nature, but it is very important that we enjoy them physically, that our bodies feel good while we are doing them. This puts our female hormones to work for us positively, using them rather than storing them.

As a member of the baby boom generation, I know that many women my age are very, very comfortable in the Masculine mode, and quite uncomfortable in the Feminine mode. This has meant many things – we are a viable part of the work force, we are making good money and get to do many fun things in life. These are good things, and I don’t want to give them up, and I don’t have to give them up!

It has also meant something very unsettling for the men of our generation. With women so often in Masculine/giving mode, the only mode left for the men to be in when they are around us is the Feminine mode. Then the women get mad at them for not being more helpful and giving, better wage earners, or more nurturing. We may also be attracted to the “bad boys”, because they seem more masculine than we are. The bad boys are really more feminine because they are less giving, and they may act out due to stored, unused testosterone.

Hey, I’ve had as much fun as the next baby boomer with this way of living, but now I’m aware that a shift back to my Feminine is long overdue for my sake and for the sake of the men in my life. When I’m doing my thing, by myself, I’ll be just as masculine as I want to be, thank you very much. And when I’m with a man, I now choose to feel like a vessel as often as possible, to honor my Feminine and to honor his Masculine. The interactions that result are sometimes miraculous.

For instance, the men that I work with suddenly want to help me, while before they wanted me to go away. And I do need their help and they need to have someone to help. Sure, I could do it all myself, but what is served by me doing it all, all the time? Because the men know that I could do it myself, they know how much I appreciate what they are giving to me. My hormones are happy (because my needs for a better this or that are satisfied) and so are theirs, because they got to DO something for someone.

Here is how I define the Essential Masculine: A man, doing something for another person, and totally happy as he does it. When the receiver of his gifts tells him how good they feel about what he’s just done, his world is truly bright and he is satisfied.

Parenting is a Masculine Activity

When a person is a parent (either man or woman) they are in Masculine/giving mode and their children (boy, 10 or younger, or girl) are in Feminine/receptive mode. So when mom and dad are both parenting all the time, their intimate life may suffer because the energies cannot flow from one person in Masculine mode to another in the same (Masculine) mode. The energies flow naturally only from Masculine to Feminine. Is it any wonder that parents lose the romantic spark when kids come along? Mothers, this presents you with quite a challenge – how to make sure that your kids are well parented, while staying in Feminine/receptive mode at home with your husband. The benefits that arise from this shift extend beyond the bedroom.

Mothers, when you allow your older son give to you, he is practicing being a man, and so you are helping set in motion the development of his Essential Masculine self. This is such a gift to him, to your family, and to society as a whole.

When you are in your receptive mode at home, you are also showing your daughter what healthy Feminine mode looks and feels like. She sees you accepting gifts from the men in the household gracefully and gratefully and she sees the men in their healthy giving mode. What she doesn’t see is you giving yourself into a state of exhaustion to the men in the household while they sit around receiving and expecting more of the same.

The baby boom women will never give up the masculine mode that they love so dearly and they don’t have to. I don’t intend to give it up. I do intend to get better and better at “shifting gears” as called for by each situation and environment I am in. I also teach these concepts to others, to men and to women in seminars around the country, and in one-on-one facilitations with people.

I love to play, to experience the exquisite dance of male and female energies, to observe others as they engage in the dance, because I learn so much from watching others (what to copy, what to avoid). I recently led more than 200 lightworkers in Breckenridge, Colorado in a group exercise to help them experience the feelings of being a vessel, giving into a vessel as well as sensing the energy traveling from the masculine to the feminine vessel. It was great fun to watch everyone experience the dance of the energies in a safe environment.

This way of being – choosing Masculine/giving or Feminine/receptive – is not new, of course. We all do it quite naturally. However, our work lives pull us into the Masculine and so women may lose touch with their Feminine/receptive mode, while men lose contact with their Masculine/nurturing mode in the presence of their mates.

Many women think they are honoring a man by taking care of him or giving to him. This is not the case. A man’s masculinity is honored when he can freely give his talents, abilities and gifts to a person who needs those gifts and who lets him know his gifts are valued and appreciated.

Today, we see so much of what I call the distorted Masculine – which is violent, warring, and destructive to self and others. I have a hunch that these behaviors may be the result of a buildup of unused testosterone in the system. Could a buildup of unused estrogen in a woman’s system could also be causing illness?

Women – females – have a unique opportunity at this time in human evolution to reclaim their feminine selves, without losing any of their exciting masculine abilities and talents. When women get better at switching into the Feminine/receptive mode in the presence of the men in their lives, their relationships will become more fulfilling and peaceful, as everyone’s innate needs are met, and intimate relationships can naturally reclaim their earlier spark.

I look forward to meeting with many men and women in my travels, to learn more about bringing the Exquisite Dance of Male and Female Energies to a more conscious level than ever. The dance of Masculine and Feminine energies can be fun, sexy, fulfilling and may accelerate the time when everyone on the planet knows and lives in peace, from the inside out.

The Marvelous Cat

Translated by Takeharu Teramoto and Fumio Hashimoto

From Zen Master Ito Tenzaa Chuya

Takeharu Teramoto was an Admiral and Professor at the Naval Academy in Tokyo. His form of practice was sword fighting (Gyo). His own Master had been the last Master of a school of combat in which the story of five cats had been handed down from Master to Master since the beginning of the seventeenth century as a form of instruction, and had finally reached Teramoto through his own Master.

ONCE UPON A TIME there was a Master of combat called Shoken. His house was plagued by a big rat. It ran about even in broad daylight. One day Shoken shut the room door and gave the household cat an opportunity to catch the rat. But the rat flew at the cat’s face and gave it such a sharp bite that it ran off screeching. Evidently the creature couldn’t be got rid of so easily. So the master of the house collected together a number of cats that had won a fair reputation in the neighborhood and let them into the room. The rat hunched itself up in a corner. As soon as a cat approached it, it bit the cat and scared it off.

The rat looked so nasty that none of the cats dared to take it on a second time. That put Shoken into a perfect rage. He went after the rat himself, determined to kill it. But the wily beast escaped every blow and feint from the experienced Master; he just couldn’t wear it down. In his attempts to do so, he split doors, shojis, karakamis, and so forth. But the rat flashed through the air like lightning, jumped up at his face, and bit the Master. At last, running with sweat, he called out to his servants: “They say that six to seven cho from here there is the toughest and cleverest cat in the world. Bring it here!

The servant brought the cat. It didn’t look so very different from the other cats. It didn’t look particularly sharp or bright. So Shoken didn’t expect anything special from it. But he thought he would try it all the same, so he opened the door and let it into the room. The cat entered very softly and slowly as if it was expecting nothing out of the ordinary. But the rat recoiled and stayed motionless. So the cat approached it slowly and deliberately and carried it out in its mouth.

That evening the defeated cats met in Shoken’s house, respectfully accorded the old cat the place of honor, paid it homage and said humbly: “We are all supposed to be highly efficient. We have all practiced and sharpened our claws in order to defeat all kinds of rats, and even weasels and otters. We had never suspected that there could be a rat as strong as that one. But tell us, what art did you use to vanquish it so easily? Do not keep your art a secret. Let us into the mystery.” The old cat laughed and said: “You young cats are indeed efficient. But you don’t know the right way to go about things. And so when something unexpected happens, you’re unsuccessful. But first tell me how you have practiced.”

A black cat came out to the front and said: “I come from a line of celebrated rat catchers. I too decided to become one. I can jump over screens two meters high; I can force myself through a tiny hole that only rats can negotiate. From the time I was a kitten I have practiced all the acrobatic arts. Even when I wake up and I still haven’t quite come to, and I see a rat scampering across the balcony, I get it straightway. But that rat today was stronger and I suffered the most frightful defeat that I have ever experienced in my whole life. I have been put to shame.”

Then the old cat said: “What you have practiced is only technique (shosa), sheer physical skill. But your spirit is preoccupied with the question: ‘How am I going to win?’ And that problem is still consuming you when you reach the target. When the ancient Masters taught ‘technique’, they did so in order to show their pupils a ‘means of the way’ (michisuyi). Their technique was simple yet contained the highest truth. But posterity has been preoccupied with technique and technique alone. In that way much has been discovered according to the rule: if you do this or that, then this will happen. But what does happen? No more than dexterity-skill pure and simple. The traditional way has been abandoned; much ingenuity has been applied to an exhaustive pitting of technique against technique, until we have indeed reached the point of exhaustion. We can go no further. That always happens when people think of technique and success and put no more than ingenuity into play. Ingenuity-cleverness is however a function of the spirit, if it is not based on the Way and aims at perfect skill, then it falls victim to error and what has been achieved is lost. Think about this and practice from now on in the right spirit.”

At that a big tabby-cat came forward and said: “In the art of fighting it is a matter of the spirit, and it must always be so. Therefore I have always practiced strength of spirit (ki wo neru). As far as I am concerned, my spirit always seems as hard as steel and free and charged with the presence of the Spirit that fills heaven and earth (Mencius). As soon as I can see an enemy, he is already vanquished; no sooner do I see him than he is thrall to that mighty Spirit and I have already won the battle in advance! I do so quite instinctively, as the situation demands. I move according the feel of my opponent; I take the rat from the right or the left as I wish and I anticipate my adversary’s every move. I never worry about technique as such. It happens of its own accord. If a rat runs across the balcony, I have only to stare at it for it to fall into my clutches. But the rat of which we are speaking comes without shape or form and goes without leaving any trace. What does that mean? I cannot say.”

Then the old cat remarked: “What you have been concerned with is, of course, the effect of that great Power that fills heaven and earth. But what you have actually achieved is only a mental power and not that good power which serves the name of Good. The very fact that you are conscious of the power with which you intend to conquer prevents your victory. Your ego is in question. But what if your adversary’s ego is stronger than your own? When you try to overcome the enemy with the superior force of your own power, he pits his own power against yours. Do you imagine that you alone can be as strong and that all others must be weak? The real question is how to behave when there is something that in spite of all one’s willing one cannot defeat with the superior weight of one’s own power. What you experience as ‘free and tempered’ and ‘filling heaven and earth’ within you is not the great Power itself (ki no sho) but only its reflection in you. It is your own spirit, and therefore but a shadow of the great Spirit. It appears to be the great power, but in reality it something quite different. The spirit of which Mencius speaks is strong because it is permanently illumined by great understanding. But your spirit obtains its power only under certain conditions. Your power and that of which Mencius speaks have different origins. They are as different from one another as the eternal flow of a river, for instance the Yangtse Kiang is from a sudden downpour one night. But what is the spirit that one should rely on when face with an enemy who cannot be conquered with any mere restricted mental power (kisei)? That is the real question! There is a proverb that says: ‘A rat in the trap will even bite the cat.’ The enemy is in the jaws of death he has no resources to depend on. He forgets his life: he forgets all need; he forgets himself; he is beyond victory and defeat. And thus his will tempered like steel. How could one conquer him with a spiritual power which one scribes to oneself alone?”

Then an aging gray cat came slowly forward and said: “Yes, it is indeed as you say. Mental power whatever its strength has a form (katachi) in itself. But whatever has form, however small it may be, can be grasped. Therefore I have for a long time trained my soul (kokoro, the power of the heart). I do not practice the power which overcomes others spiritually (sei), like the second cat. And I do not hit out around me (like the first cat). I reconcile myself with my opponent, get on to equal terms with him, and do not oppose him in any way. If the other is stronger than I am, then I will simply acknowledge that, and so to speak give into his will. My art is rather to gather the flying pebbles in a loose cloth. A rat tries to attack me may be as strong as you like, but it will find nothing to fly against, nothing to get to grips with. But today’s rat simply didn’t respond to my trick. It came and went as mysteriously as God Himself. I have never encountered one like it”.

Then the old cat said: “What you call propitiation does not arise from being, from the Greatness of Nature. It is an artificial, botched-up reconciliation – a mere artifice. Your conscious intention is to elude the adversary’s spirit of attack. But because you are thinking about it, however fleetingly, he realizes what your plan is. If you try to conciliate him, with a spirit thus composed, then your spirit (in so far as it concentrates on the attack) will be confused, mixed up, and your sharpness of perception and action will be considerably reduced. Whatever you do with fully conscious intent restricts the original pulsation of the Greatness of Nature as it takes effect from the depths of Mystery: it upsets the flow of your spontaneous movement. How then are you to put a miraculous power into practice? Only when you think of nothing, and do nothing, and in your movement surrender yourself to the pulsation of Being (shizen no ka), will you have lost all tangible form, and be so that nothing on earth can act as a counter-form; then there is no enemy left to resist you.”

“I do not believe that everything that you have practiced is pointless. Everything can be a means of the Way. Technique and Tao can be one and the same, and then the great Spirit, the “governing Spirit”, is already incorporated in you and is revealed in the action of your body. The power of the great Spirit (ki) serves the human person (ishi). He who has free access to (ki) can encounter everything within infinite freedom and in the right way. If his spirit is reconciled, it will not shatter ever on gold or rock, and need exert no special power in battle. Only one thing is necessary: that no trace of egotism of I-consciousness comes into play, lest everything should be lost. If you think about all that, however fleetingly, then all will be artificial. It will not arise from Being, from the original pulsation the body of the Way (do-tai). Then the adversary will not submit to you but resist in his own behalf. What sort of a way or art is to be used? Only when you are in that disposition which is free of all conscious of self, when you act without acting, without intention and stratagem, in unison with the Greatness of Nature, are you on the right Way. Abandon all intent, practice purposelessness and let it happen simply out of Being. This way is unending, inexhaustible.”

And the old cat added something astounding: “You must not believe that what I have told you today is the highest of things. Not long ago a certain tom-cat was living in the next village to me. He slept the whole day long. No trace of anything resembling spiritual power was to be observed in him. He just lay there like a lump of wood. No one had ever seen him catch a rat . But wherever he was, there wasn’t a rat to be seen! And wherever he popped up or laid himself down, no rat ever appeared. One day I looked up and asked what that meant. He did not answer me. I asked him another three times. He was silent. But that doesn’t mean that he didn’t want to reply. Instead he clearly didn’t know what he should say. But that is how it is: “He who knows says nothing, and he who says it knows it not”. The cat had forgotten about himself and everything roundabout him. He had become “nothing”. He had reached the highest level of purposelessness. We can say that he had found the way of divine knighthood, which is to vanquish without killing. I am still a long way behind him”.

Shoken heard all this as if in a dream, came by, greeted the old cat and said: “For a long time now I have been practicing the art of fighting, but I have not yet reached the end. I have absorbed your insights and I think that I have understood the true meaning of my way, but I ask you earnestly to tell me something more about your craft”.

The old cat replied; “How is that possible? I am only an animal and the rat is my food. How should I know about human affairs. All I know is this: the meaning of the art of combat is not merely a matter of vanquishing one’s opponent. It is rather an art by which at a given time one enters into the great clarity of the primal light of death and life (seishi wo akiraki ni suru). In the midst of all his technical practice a true Samurai should always practice the spiritual acquisition of that clarity of mind. For that purpose however he must plumb before all else the teaching of the ground of being of life and death (shi no ri). But only he acquires great clarity of mind who is free from everything which could lead him off that way (hen kyoku). When Being and encounter with Being (shin ki) are left undisturbed, to themselves, free from the ego and from all things, then whenever it is appropriate it can declare it’s presence complete freedom. But if your heart even fleetingly attaches itself to something, then Being itself is attached and is turned into something arrested in itself . But if it becomes something arrested in itself, then there is something there that resists the I that is in itself . Then two entities face one another and fight one another for dominance.”

“If that happens then the miraculous functions of being, even though used to all change, are restricted, the jaws of death gape close, and that clarity of perception proper to Being is lost. How then is it possible to meet the adversary in the right frame and peacefully contemplate “victory and defeat”? Even if you win, you win no more than blind victory that has nothing to do with the spirit of the true art of combat.”

“Being free from all things does not of course mean an empty void. Being as such has no nature in itself. In and for myself it is beyond all form. It stores up nothing in itself. But if one grasps and remembers even fleetingly what it is and how fragile it is, the great Power will cling to it and it will contain the equilibrium of forces that flows from the Source. But if Being is even slightly subject to or imprisoned by something, it is no longer able to move freely and cannot pour forth in all its fullness. If the equilibrium that emanates from Being is disturbed, if its power is at all apparent it quickly overflows; but without power its balance is inadequate. Where it overflows, too much power breaks out and there is no holding it back. Where it is inadequate, the active spirit is weakened and wanting is never sufficient for the situation it is called on .

What I call freedom of things means only that if one does not lay up stores, one has nothing to rely on. Without secure provision there is no position to take up and nothing objective to have recourse to. There is neither an I nor an anti-I. When something comes along, one meets it as it were unawares, without any impact. In the I-Ching (the Book of Changes), it is written “Without thinking, without action, without movement; quite still. Only thus can one proclaim the nature and law of things from within, quite unconsciously, and at last become one with heaven and earth. Whoever practices and understands the art of combat in that sense is close to the truth of the Way”.

When Shoken heard this, he asked: “What does that mean, that neither a subject nor an object, neither an nor an anti-I is there”?

The cat answered: “If and because an I is there, there is an enemy there. If we do not present ourselves as an I, then there is no opponent there. What we call opponent, adversary, enemy, is merely another name for what means opposition or counterpart. In so far as things maintain a form, they also presuppose a counter-form. But wherever something is present as a something, it has a specific form. If my being is not constituted as a specific form, then there is no counter-form there.”

“When there is no counterpart, no opposition, there is nothing which can come forth to oppose me. But that means that neither an I nor an anti-I is there. If one wholly abandons self and thus becomes free, from the foundations upwards and from everything, then one will be in harmony with the world and one with all things in the great universal oneness. Even when the enemy’s form is extinguished one remains unconscious of it . That does not mean that one is wholly oblivious of it, but that one does not dwell on it, and the spirit continues free from all attachment and even in its actions responds simply and freely from the center of being. If the spirit is no longer by possessed by anything and is free from all obsession, then the world, just as it is wholly our world and one with us. That means that henceforth one apprehends it beyond good and evil, beyond sympathy or antipathy. One is no longer caught up in anything in the world. All oppositions which present themselves to us, profit and loss, good and evil, joy and suffering, have their origin us. Therefore in the whole spread of heaven and earth nothing is so worthy of discernment as our own being. “

“An ancient poet said: “A speck dust in one’s eye and even the three worlds are still too narrow”. If nothing matters to us any longer and is no longer of consequence to us, then the smallest bed is too wide for us. ” In other words, if a speck of dust enters our eye, the eye will not open; for we can see clearly only if there is nothing within, but now the dust has penetrated to obstruct the vision within. Similarly with being that shines forth as light and illumination, and is essentially free of everything that is “something”. When however something does present itself, the very presentation destroys its essence. Another writer put it this way: “If one is surrounded by foes, by a hundred thousand enemies, one’s form is so to speak pulverized. But my being, my nature, is mine and remains my own, however strong my enemy may be . No adversary can penetrate my being my self”. Confucius said: “You cannot steal the being of even a simple man”. But if the spirit is confused, then being will turn against us.”

“That is all that I can tell. Now return to yourselves and know yourselves. A master can only teach his pupil the lesson and try to justify it. But “I myself” have to realize the truth and take it as my own. That is called self-appropriation (jitoku). It is transferred from heart to heart (ishin denshin). It is a bestowal by extraordinary means, beyond instruction and erudition (kyogai betsuden) that does not mean that the Master’s teaching is to be contradicted. All it means is that even a Master cannot pass on the truth itself. That is not only true of Zen.”

“From the spiritual exercises of the ancients on the art of forming the soul right up to the arts proper, self appropriation is always the essence of the matter, and it is always transmitted from heart to heart, apart from tradition, from all teachings which are handed down. The meaning of all “teaching” is only to show what everyone possesses in himself without already knowing it, and then to make him aware of it. There is no secret that the master can “hand over” to the pupil. Teaching is easy. Listening is easy. But it is difficult to become aware of what one has in one’s self, to mark it out and really to take possession of it. That is known as looking into one’s own being. It is self perception, the self perception of being (ken-sei, kensho). If that happens to us then we have Satori. It is the great awakening out of the dream of errors. Awakening, looking into one’s own being, perception of the self one really is – they are all one and the same thing”.

The Reconnection: Do You Believe in Magic?

You’ll find below a very interesting channeling from the Reconnections where are explored our inherent limitations and how we could, if we choose to, expand them to experiment personal growth and our own, personal, reconnection.

these witnesses also gaze in wonder as that same compacted and constrained being rises up, spreads his or her wings, and takes to the sky! It is an eagle on the wind, a phoenix rising from the ashes of its own forgetfulness! And now is your time to do just that. But first, a word of warning.

Another Transmission from The Reconnections…….

“Do You Believe in Magic?”

My Dear Friends,

We are at another time in our interactions where, as it has been said, “the rubber meets the road. To talk about transformation, the Game of Limitation, the Multiverse, or the Expanded Self is merely an exercise in academics, unless one also installs the knowledge and skills necessary to make substantial shifts in the Multiversal Game Board. We are speaking now about being able to change the rules of your Game.

At this point, we wish to remind you of the incredible complexity and skill that is required to compact your vast, marvelous Eternal Essence into such a defined and abbreviated space. From a technical standpoint, it is a wonder to behold!  Many of you have asked why so many entities are gathering around the Earth Plane at this time, watching the details of your unfoldment.  It is quite simple. They are dumbfounded at your ability to be able to forget who you are, and to actually buy into the constraints that hold you, and the Guardian Spirits which regulate your enlistment and usage of Creative Power.

And beyond that,

We have spent considerable time and effort outlining the structure and function of life in the Multiverse. We have removed certain masks and illusions from the 3D Plane, in order that you may be informed about you some idea of the many support mechanisms that attend you while you travel within the World of Form. And we have done all this with one goal in mind: to convince your Form Ego that everything……every last thing….that is seen around him or her…. is made of 100% Self.

And why do we do this? Because it sounds good? Because it makes for interesting conversation? Well yes,…….It certainly does make for interesting conversation!  These can be hypnotic concepts, indeed! But there is a more important reason. And here it is. We are seeking to establish trust. We are about the task of planting a garden of faith. And why would we want to do that? Herein lies your warning.

POWER HAS A PRICE

Up to this point, there has always been the possibility of a speedy exit in your interactions with us. It has been like a movie theater.  You come in, the lights go down, and you get to watch the movie.  Or, in this case, you get to consider new and unusual concepts. Then, at the end of the show, the lights come up and you leave. You read on, you discuss what has been said, or you have the option to return to your spiritual sleep.  You get to take the “blue pill,” and you get to believe whatever you want to believe.

True…….the concepts that we share are exotic, and the root premises seem fascinating to explore. But, on purpose, we have withheld those essential “bridge concepts” that would require a full commitment from you. We have held back bits of insight that would forever remove from your consciousness any means of escape, any return to the comfort zone of your limitation and misery!

But time is running out.  The Game is afoot!  Your mind is like a bag of sand, that has been purposely cut open, letting its contents runs out in little piles upon the floor.  Each grain of sand is a little bit of limitation programming……..ballast to ground and anchor you in 3D illusion.  In that format, you think you are but a single body, a soul, an individual………. and nothing more.  But, indeed, you are so much more.  Are you really ready to know that?  Are you ready to embrace it intellectually, emotionally, practically?

It is time, My Friends!  And thus, we need to advise you….. the Form Ego……of the price of your return to power. What it will cost you is…….yourself. Your separated self. You will no longer be able to turn away, or remain separate, in denial of the rest of who you are.

In order to maintain a form within a limitation plane, it is necessary to slow down the vibratory field of that idea so that it becomes solidified and impermeable. We have often likened this transformation to vapor as it turns to water, and water as it turns to ice.  It’s all the same substance, but each level of it vibrates at a different rate.

Within the expanded levels of existence, ideas move freely through each other in a state of mutual acceptance and oneness. Only in a state of polarization does one idea declare itself to be different than other ideas—thus creating a wall of separation that borders each picture. Certain entities, coming in contact with that solidified concept, expect to be able to pass freely through it.  When easy passage is prevented, it creates turbulence in the waters.  It produces a crisis of faith.

Where there is turbulence, a split will occur in the Oneself–and various elements will separate, and go off in all directions. Some will simply vibrate higher, in neutrality and acceptance (in the same way an automobile revs up speed to pass over a bump in the road, and their loss of density will make it seem that the turbulence isn’t there at all.  Others may join in the battle, seeking either to resolve or intensify it.  Still others will choose to block everything out, and will  lose sight of the turbulence by becoming even more dense than it is. They are those who hide in darkness. They travel the path of forgetfulness.

In whatever way a person chooses to deal with conflict, there is a price to be paid.  If he chooses darkness as a point of refuge, the price is denial of many powerful alternative aspects of himself.  If he chooses expansion, he will eventually need to let go of that distinctive self that he has been using as a base of perception and learning.  And this is what we are preparing you for at this time.

THE CHOICE TO BE LIMITED

The price of ultimate power, then, is to realize that you are only powerless because of the walls of separation you have placed around your concept of self. It is your differences from others–those aspects you have considered weaknesses and shortcomings—that bind you together, in 3D. That is why you cling to them so tightly, even as you struggle every day of your life to wriggle free! And it is for this reason that you choose to be born into families that anchor and re-enforce your “weaknesses.”

You choose it.  You choose it all……..each time you turn from recognition of your essential oneness with everything and everyone. If you manage to let go of some weakness, and turn it into “strength,” you still may continue to re-enforce your difference from others, because now you are “successful,” and greater than they!  It is illusion.  And if you want to make the separation deeper still, you can even deny that you chose this, and dive into a sense of struggle about your life.  You can use your left hand to install walls to imprison you, and use your right hand to pound upon those same walls, crying:  “Let me out!  Let me out!”

And so, here is how to enter and sustain presence within a Game of Limitation:

  • DEFINE YOUR DIFFERENCES: Create a statement about yourself that highlights and emphasizes what distinguishes you from “others.”  Learn to think of yourself as special–or, better still, learn to think of yourself as “cursed.”

  • REINFORCE THOSE DIFFERENCES: Design a personal “script” that validates your limitation view, and provides support for you feeling of difference.  Make your a “limitation” mantra.  Create a past history to support it, in every Now Moment you visit.  Say to yourself:  “This is just the way I am.  I have always been this, and I will always be this way.”  Say to yourself:  “I am what I am, and that’s all that I am.”  That should do it!

  • FOCUS—FOCUS—FOCUS: Your resistance to outsidepenetration by ideas of Oneness must be practiced at all times.  You must continually bombard yourself with internal propaganda.  Create a “monkey mind” within your head, to chatter continuously about how bleak and dreary things are.  Or, refuse to think at all. Kill all reason through addictive use of substances or compulsive behaviors. Or find an “ideal” and pursue it selflessly unto the end.  Work hard, play hard, do anything to keep yourself from opening to the realization of the rest of who you are!

It is the rigorous practice of these three steps that hold you in the limitation plane. They will continue to do so unless a new choice is made.  And it is about this new choice that we come to speak with you now.

SURRENDERING YOUR DIFFERENCES

The essence of the Christing involves sorting through various “cloaks” and “masks” of your incarnated patterns and “unravel” the stitches and divergent threads of experience that created you to be “different” in all those lifetimes. This universe, what we have called “The Reconnection Universe,” is your Summary Lifetime, which embodies all of the significant themes of your soul’s evolution, where you still have “loose ends”— needs for resolution–and personally rewrite them.  In this way, you can install new endings to old stories.  Instead of driving yourself further and further away from your universe, this context of reality will draw you closer to it.  You will perceptually merge with everything and everyone.  Or, if you prefer, you can choose to re-install whatever limitation profile you wish to use.

Where you find an aspect of yourself who is resisting and refuses to “turn around” and embrace the flow—there will be a need for some kind of inner “death” to occur……….an altar of personal transformation.  You cannot concoct such a thing with your will or by force, but you can surrender to the process that is already happening inside yourself.  You simply let go of trying to be different, and embrace the totality of what you see and feel all around yourself.

The very shape of your body is a “cross,” where each theme and issue can be brought to its place of release….. crying out “Father…. into Thy Hand do I commend my spirit.” Since all externals are only projections of what is internal, the individual who is wearing your resistance will either transform or will leave the field of your perception altogether.  In your own context of reality, this will mean you have let go of the resistance.  You are not separate.  These people actually embodying true aspects of yourself.

It is the movement through these “archives” of your soul’s evolution that comprises the Summary Lifetime in which you now find yourself. Every time you encounter some individual or situation, who wears the idea of separation and division within your perceptual field, you have an option to use that reflection, and willingly surrender that division within yourself. It isn’t “out there” at all, you know.  It’s right there inside of you!

This world is nothing more than a huge microscope, designed to help you see clearly all those aspects of self that are still stuck in “being different.”  Your focus here is to find a way to address them with the phrase, or the energy that says: “Come home.  Come unto me!” After all, they flowed out from you, didn’t they?  This is your universe, is it not?  Everything and everyone here is a fragment of you.  In their own universes, you are a fragment of them.  It’s really quite a handy system for growth and learning, is it not?

It may sound a bit “omnipotent” to assume the “God position” in your perceptual universe.  In the Multiverse, everyone has a reality context where this takes place.  Do not be put off by the grandeur of it, or think of it as a delusion!  In our transmission “The God Self,” we provided for you a little perceptual game to play, wherein you assume the position of God/Goddess/All That Is, and you allow the rest of your universe to wear YOU as you relate to guidance and initiative from beyond your 3D box.  It’s a revelation, to be sure, and you can produce some magical fruit within your journey by looking at things from this vantage point.  It is not dissonant to say to your world: “I am God, and you are me.”  It only becomes difficult when you say:  “I am God, and you are not.”  The former statement is a way of de-fragging your universe back into a simple dance of two, instead of the panoply of faces and symbols that usually comes before you.

THE MAGIC OF LIVING

With each breath you send forth, there is a (an ex-pression) of energy that flows into space and configures itself into symbols and patterns.  Each pattern carries meaning for the person who sources that breath. When he inhales again, everything goes back inside of him but those issues that still need to be integrated, still need to be noticed and healed.  Additionally, there will be certain “extras” also included in the story plot, who are assigned the task of assisting in the transformation process.

When the inhaling comes, only those aspects to which he denies entrance will remain in “orbit” around him. They will dance and play, and do whatever it is they have been assigned to do.  They are actors, on a stage.  He will know that they still have lives of their own, but the primary meaning he draws from them will be that which mirrors a part of himself.

There is wonder in all of life!  From a manifestation point of view, anything and everything that appears or occurs in your universe is put there by magic.  And yet, within the context of universal living, it is also possible to distinguish between the events and occurrences, so that a person can actually point to something in particular, and say to his fellows:  “Now that’s magical.”  It is a polarity stance that creates a distinction between something “magical” from something “mundane.”

THE PRACTICE OF MAGIC

All separation is illusion.  By this, we do not mean that what is seen in some particular space does not exist. Everything exists—everywhere it appears.  What we are speaking about is the declaration (or perception) that what is seen, within a particular space, is the only thing that exists within that space.  Every square inch of the Multiverse is entirely full of every other square inch. Isn’t that something?  We are all holographic in our being, though it does always not appear that way.  Therein is the opportunity for the practice of magic.

The appearance of “difference” between two objects—for example, a rabbit and a hat—can be manipulated so as to produce the effect of pulling the rabbit out of the hat. It makes both items look and feel like distinct forms, and that the Magician (yet a third distinct form) is doing something special with them.  However, Magicians know that all of these essences—himself, the rabbit, and the hat are made up of the same substance (holographic fragments of All That Is).  The audience does not always know this. They have forgotten it.  It is a game, and it allows everyone present to see things from a different vantage point–including the Magician, who often forgets what it’s like to forget!

In days past, the Practice of Magic has been defined in two ways:

1.  Where an “Illusionist” is consciously producing effects that are staged and technical– being very dependent upon presuppositions and biases which are held by the audience. Showmanship and Fun are the goals and characteristics in this particular arena. Though the effects produced are sometimes quite fantastic, there is still the underlying belief that “we’re only fooling here.”  Each side of the interact has agreed (for a time) to play out their roles. Deep down, both the performer and the audience know that it is just a “trick”– a sleight of hand–made by the Magician, and the whole business has a plausible explanation that adheres to defined laws of reality to which they all subscribe.

However, there is another arena where Magic is also practiced. Though many on the limitation plane have experienced this magic only through legend, it is also very real. It is the practice of ELEMENTAL TRANSFORMATION. Some have called it Alchemy. This is an arena where an individual player on the game board allows himself to invoke and manipulate certain powers and influences from “outside the box” (outside his current 3D context of belief) in order that he can actually change the laws of nature for a time.  This is a function of the Supra-Normal Mind, the Realm of the Gods and Goddesses.

When a person uses Elemental Transformation to accomplish what are considered to be “good” ends, it is referred to as the practice of White Magic. When he uses his powers for “evil” or selfish ends, then the label of Black Magic is applied. We must add at this point in the conversation that, black or white, magic is magic.  There is really no difference, save in the mind (and the identification) of the beholder. The primary element for separating the two types of usage is the intent of the Magician.

Although the study of these tools can be exciting, neither of these applications is of interest to us here. They have both been explored in great length. What is left now is an exploration of the Magic of Reconnection–the miracle of removing boundaries that separate individuals or objects from each other, within a particular reality context. We are speaking about your touchstone–your Return to Oneness.

The practice of either White or Black Magic were both points of distinction. The Magician is held, either in sacred reverence or dread. And the focus was always on him, on what he is doing, and why. With Reconnection, it is the Magician who disappears. When he has completed his “trick,” the focus of the “audience” is on Oneness with each other, and on Reconnection to the Whole. At the height of his power, this worker of wonders merges with that Whole. Ever present, never present.

It is this knowledge that prompted Jesus the Christ, after he had taught his lessons, healed the sick, and hung on that cross to exclaim: “Lo, I am with you always…..”. This statement was not just allegorical. When the Christ Incarnation is accomplished, your universe continues to exist. But now it no longer contains you. Instead, it exists as you. The creator is there—but he is also gone. (a contraction for the two words–”go” and “one”) The dividing lines that separated the Form Ego from the overall picture have been erased. He moves from being a player in the drama to being the audience. And yet, since each existing player is also considered an aspect of “self,” the perceptual effect is amplified into infinity.

At this point, of necessity, all these bits of knowledge are being held in your field as “merely conceptual.” They are interesting bits of philosophy and nothing more. You look at your reflection in the mirror and say: “Oh, thank God!   I’m still here!” This is as it should be. The decision to make your leap into Oneness is accomplished in the moment, and it is a cumulative decision that can only be achieved through collective focus of your entire universe. And yet, in actual practice, it is very much like going to sleep. The last thing you remember is your head on the pillow……..and then, you’re in the new dream. It’s the same with Reconnection. So long as there is fear about loss of self into the Expanded Self, there will always be a bit more of the Christing to be worked out.

Don’t rush it. Enjoy it. You have all been illumined by the sacred tones of Harmonic Concordance.  The light infusions that preceded it were electromagnetic activations for an ancient knowledge, a powerful inner storehouse of powers and perceptual abilities. They were your own infusion of the Cosmic Christ Energy, coming specifically to you, in your circumstance and your own era.  No separated individual could carry the light of this infusion.  Even the Jesus you know could not do it.  He barely could carry the light he brought in the first time.  This type of infusion is designed to be worn by an entire Planetary Oneself.  And so, in this universe, there would also be no need for an Antichrist.  This current dark infusion is so staggering in its scope, so pervasive in its effect, that it can only be worn everyone present. An irresistible force that has wrapped itself around an immovable object.

Do you believe in Magic?  My Dear Friends…….The Grand Game has only just begun.  The cost of invoking Reconnection Magic is high, but the attainments that come with its usage will lift you higher still.  And the more your consciousness expands, the deeper will your feeling nature become.  It is the promise of this universal programming.  The Guardian Spirit assures it. Do not be afraid to share your secrets.  Any shadow that is brought to light will be replaced by another, and another, and another.  An endless chain of mystery–which is illumined, showcased, and explored by an endless curiosity, and thirst for knowledge.

Now they see you, now they don’t.  But you will see. And you will continue to know, and grow………..on and on……..forever.

The Reconnection: Self-Realization

All that exists is SOURCE. Source continually differentiates, and casts parts of Himself/Herself out into Creation as Self through the different vibratory levels in order to simply experience the subtlety of Life. The figure below shows a simplified model of Self.

Source Diagram

When a “theme” has played out, all aspects of Source then return back to the Un-Differentiated level. This process starts all over again, and carries on for eternity to explore other themes. This, in a nutshell, is the Big Picture.

Somewhere in the distant past, there was a “rebellion” of sorts. The lower aspects of Self wanted to separate from the Whole. When we consciously renounced our Divinity, we separated from the larger Oversoul levels of Self. This break occurred below the Oversoul level. By agreement, the Higher Self remained with the separated Self under the condition of non-interference; and to provide assistance only when called upon to assist.

The etheric body which inter-penetrates the physical body consists of many higher dimensional templates. When separation from the larger Self occurred, a set of lines known as axiatonal lines (or Axiatonal meridians) that connected the lower aspects of Self to the Oversoul aspects of Self were severed. These axiatonal lines used to feed into a 5th dimensional circulatory system known as the axial circulatory system, as well as the 4th dimensional acupuncture meridians. This flow of higher energy used to maintain the physical body and its organs, as well as the emotional and mental bodies in perfect harmony. When the axiatonal lines were severed, the axial circulatory system became dormant. The acupuncture meridians were left to draw just enough energy to sustain life.

The separated aspects of Self then limped along at subsistence levels of energy, and continued a karmic existence. All previous awareness of the larger Self was also veiled. The lower Self then took on a life of its own, characterized by fear, self-will and pride.

Through the varied life experiences orchestrated by the Soul, the personality begins to realize that it is a part of a larger aspect of Self, and that this larger aspect of Self is in turn part of a larger Whole. By now, the yearning to reconnect with the rest of Self is very great. It is that desire to reconnect, and the willingness to reconnect that makes the reconnection possible.

The larger Self is just as eager to reconnect, because separation is very unnatural for Spirit. The larger Self has been held back from higher evolution, because the separated Self has been “stuck”. The larger Self is willing and eager to assist in the re-integration, and can facilitate the process with great ease.

There are three very important conditions that must be fulfilled before we can return to Wholeness.

Firstly, we must consciously seek reconnection with the larger Self. We exercised our free will to separate from the larger Self. We must now exercise our free will once again to seek reconnection.

Secondly, we must consciously reclaim our Divinity. The key to accepting our Divinity is total unconditional self-acceptance. All along, there has NEVER been any judgment or condemnation of any kind from the larger Self. The larger Self sees ALL experiences as beneficial. All our experiences have indeed enriched us, and led us to our enlightenment.

All along, it has been the lower Self that has judged negatively and condemned. The lower Self meant well, and acted to protect the separated Self. But without guidance from the larger Self, it lost track and fell prey to fear.

No aspect of Self can be discarded as unworthy. All MUST be accepted with great compassion, and re-integrated. By embracing ALL aspects of Self unconditionally, accepting our Divinity becomes easy.

There is help available from the larger Self. WHOLE-SELF ATTUNEMENT is one such tool made available by Spirit. When we consciously seek the reconnection, the Oversoul assists to reconnect the previously severed axiatonal lines. The Oversoul can then once again recharge the lower bodies and re-vitalize them, and restore harmony and balance. All “baggage” in the form of negative emotional and mental patterns we have been carrying around from lifetime to lifetime can also be shed effortlessly with the assistance of the Higher Self and the Oversoul levels of Self. This allows greater room for Spirit to express through the physical body.

Thirdly, we are required to accept Oneness. Until we totally integrate Oneness, the old fear-based patterns are still at play. This can create a lot of frustration. Many are also engaged with the polarity between Darkness and Light. Fear is the hallmark of Darkness, and Love the hallmark of Light. In truth, there is only Oneness. The whole exercise of expression and experience of Life is played out as a big game. The “actors” play their roles so very well, that they have been mistaken for real. Darkness has been mistakenly labelled as the “enemy”. “Evil” then, is the misguided projection of the personality.

When we no longer see the polarity between Darkness and Light, we can rise above fear and move into Wholeness, and start to express from that level in total Love.

Our desire to return to Wholeness, and being totally focused on that assists to accelerate the process.

Our willingness to surrender totally to Spirit, and live in total soulfulness allows Spirit to express fully.

Spirit then begins to manifest more and more of Its vastness through the physical body, which allows for greater Light, Love and Wisdom to enter. This is called “Descension of Spirit”, and as this happens, we begin to express in the fullness of who we are – as SOURCE. Life then is filled with Love, Joy, Peace, Tranquility, Harmony, Balance, Abundance and Creativity. The original program – Spirit descending into matter to express and experience, can continue as originally intended.

This re-awakening and total expression from our Wholeness is called Self-Realization.

Axiotonal Lines: an esoteric explanation

In the book ‘The Keys of Enoch‘, we find probably the most esoteric explanation that exists nowadays.

Confirmed by channelings from Kryon, Ariel or Gabriel, we discover an etheric vision of a very pragmatic process.

“Our galactic body of creation controls its renewing functions through meridian axiatonal lines which are the equivalent of acupuncture lines that can connect with resonating star systems. These axiatonal lines are not limited to a physical body or a biological creation, but are open-ended and can connect the body vehicle with axiatonal lines that emanate from the various star populations and exist as chemical code mechanisms.”

“Man is a floating biological sub-system existing between Magnetic fields.”

“The human evolution is a preconceived experiment within a world of happenstance relativity.”

“The axiatonal lines can exist independent of the Overself but still require the governing functions of the Higher Evolution.”

“The axiatonal grids tend to enter and interface with the biological activity taking place on higher or lower vibratory frequencies within the space being used by various biologies. The grids are not governed by the laws and mechanisms controlling physical evolution, for they operate by means of their own accretion of energy for maintenance.”

“Man at this time is being advanced to a new biological program of creation.”

“A whole new specie is being created at this time by the bringing together of the Adamic Overself-human creation which will allow this spiritual-biological expression of the Christ Race to be advanced to the next consciousness time zone of creation.”

“The axial lines are part of a fifth-dimensional circulatory system combining color and sound, which are used to draw from the Overself body the basic energy used for the renewing of the human evolutionary body.”

The combining of Medical Astronomy and Molecular biology allows for “the tRNA molecules to cause cells to alter their normal properties, which will then receive the original genetic transmissions given through a ‘spin point,’ to a cell.”

“Axiatonal lines, thus, cause new patterns of cellular circumvolution to take place.”

“The spin point takes energy and weaves the light grids which form the fabric of cellular regenesis.”

“The spin points receive their energies via the axiatonal lines.”

“Through the axiatonal arrangement, both acoustical vibrations of spiritual Light and Living Light.”

“The key then opens the door for sonic vibrations generating gravitational light within the body.”
